ELECTRIC TRUCKS

Komatsu electric drive trucks have led the way to pioneer the Ultra Class truck, trolley systems and autonomous driverless operation in the mining industry. These trucks are very quick and maneuverable for such massive machines but without sacrificing comfort for the operator to keep him engaged and productive. Frames, with castings in the high stress areas, are designed to withstand many tens of thousands of tough working hours. Oil cooled wet multi-disc brakes and retarder put tremendous stopping power at the operator’s control.

730E-8

The 203 ton capacity 730E-8 is a very versatile electric drive truck that features 1,860 flywheel horsepower. The cab has an integral ROPS, air ride seat, dynamic retarding and power steering with auto emergency steering to make the operator comfortable and more productive. To make the 730E more productive, a trolley assist option is available for circumstances where an overhead electrified trolley system can be used.

830E-1AC

A leader in the 240 ton class mining truck, the 830E-1AC is built on a tradition of excellence dating back to it's introduction as a DC drive truck in 1989. Customers experience the lowest cost per ton operations in the industry while utilizing the 830E-1AC as their prime material hauler. Powered by a Komatsu SDA16V160 engine, the General Electric drive system provides efficient transfer of the power to the ground while demonstrating low fuel consumption and excellent reliability.

Komatsu 830E-1AC

860E-1K

The 860E-1K utilizes Komatsu Drive with Siemens AC control and liquid cooled Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) inverter system for the highest available reliability. Hill Start allows the operator to start on a grade without roll back. Traction control assists the operator to power through wet sloppy underfoot condition. Oil cooled multi-disc brakes and retarder give the operator confidence in his control and stopping ability, especially when fully loaded. A front mounted elevating pantagraph can be mounted to allow the 860E-1K to utilize electrified overhead trolley lines.

960E-2K

The 960E-2K provides the same features as the 960E-2 but uses Komatsu Drive with Siemens liquid cooled insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT). In addition, Komatsu Drive provides improve torque capacity, a top speed of 40 mph and Hill Start logic which helps reduce rollback in case the truck has to stop while travelling uphill.
